Delivery & Cancellations

We know how eager you are to receive your new furniture. At John Lewis Furniture, we strive to get your products to you as quickly and affordably as possible.


1. Delivery Timeframes

Once your order is received, it is processed immediately. Our estimated delivery times are:

  • Gauteng: 1–3 business days.
  • Rest of South Africa: 3–7 business days.

Please note: Any dates specified are approximations only. Failure to meet approximate delivery dates will not be grounds for a sale cancellation.

2. Delivery Costs

Delivery fees vary based on the weight of the items purchased and the distance or location of the delivery address.

3. Delivery Procedures

  • Confirmation: We will contact you once your order is received to confirm product availability and the final delivery cost.
  • Scheduling: While we endeavor to meet advised time periods, delivery is often handled by third-party carriers and may be subject to delays outside our control. Carriers cannot specify an exact hour of delivery.
  • Receiving Goods: We only deliver to the address provided on the order. Goods will not be left without a signature. You are required to make all necessary arrangements to be present for the delivery.
  • Re-delivery: If you are not home on the agreed-upon date and the delivery agent cannot reach you, we reserve the right to charge a re-delivery fee.
  • Split Shipments: For larger orders, items may occasionally be delivered in more than one drop.

4. Cancellations

We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation terms are as follows:

  • Before Dispatch: You may cancel your order at no cost before it has left our warehouse. Please call or email us immediately to do so.
  • After Dispatch: If you cancel an order after the goods have been dispatched, you will be liable for the original delivery fee plus a cancellation fee of 10% of the purchase price.
  • Refunds: We can only process refunds for cancelled orders once we have confirmed that the goods have been safely returned to our warehouse.
  • Cancellations by Us: If we are forced to initiate a cancellation of your order (e.g., due to stock unavailability), no cancellation fees will be charged, and a full refund will be issued.
