Shipping & Returns:
1. How long will it take for my furniture to arrive?
Orders within Gauteng typically arrive within 1–3 business days. For the rest of South Africa, delivery usually takes between 3–7 business days, depending on your specific location.
2.How much does delivery cost?
Delivery fees are not fixed; they are calculated based on the total weight of your items and the distance from our warehouse to your door. You will receive a final delivery quote once we confirm your order.
3.Can I track my delivery or choose a specific time?
We will contact you to arrange a delivery date. While we can’t provide an exact hour due to the nature of third-party logistics, our team will endeavor to keep you updated on the day of delivery.
4.What happens if I am not home when the delivery arrives?
Because our products require a signature, we cannot leave items unattended. If you aren't home during the agreed-upon time and we cannot reach you, a re-delivery fee may be charged to schedule a second attempt.
5.Do you deliver to all areas in South Africa?
Yes, we deliver nationwide. However, for very remote or outlying areas, delivery may take slightly longer than the standard 7-day window..
Refunds and Returns
1. What is your return policy if I change my mind?
You have a 7-day cooling-off period from the date of delivery. As long as the item is unused, un-assembled, and in its original sealed packaging, you can return it for a refund (minus delivery and handling fees).
2.What should I do if my furniture arrives damaged?
Please inspect your items before signing the delivery note. If you see visible damage, you have the right to refuse the delivery. If you notice damage after the driver leaves, you must report it to us at admin@johnlewisfurniture.co.za within 48 hours.
3. Can I return an item that has already been assembled?
Assembled items are generally not eligible for a full return. If an assembled item is returned, we offer a partial refund (typically 40% to 50% depending on condition) and the customer is responsible for the return courier fees
